This committee is responsible for monitoring and supporting the work of the Diocesan Communications Adviser in delivering the tasks outlined in the job description, approved by the Bishop's Council. These are as follows:

· To promote the communication of the Gospel and the work of the Diocese to internal and external audiences

· To manage the relationship with local and national media in relation to Diocesan matters, with particular responsibility as the Bishop's Press Officer

· To encourage effective and improved standards of internal communication in all aspects of diocesan life.
