Statutory Inspection of Church Schools
A church school inspection is funded by the DCFS and has to take place within eight weeks of a school's Ofsted inspection. The inspection has to be carried out by a trained and National Society registered inspector. The diocesan Board of Education manages the process for schools and holds a list of inspectors.
The Board of Education has a protocol for church school inspections.
The Church School Self Evaluation Toolkit is produced by the National Society to aid staff and governors to prepare for the SIAS inspection.
