Country Link is a national network of country based informal social groups, open to anyone over the age of 26, and who enjoys the countryside.

www.letnaturefeedyoursenses.org – a useful website if you have a particular ministry to the elderly with dementia, and people of all ages with disabilities. Jean Bartlett is the Project Coordinator. Jean has found the Countryfile Magazine “British Birdsong” CD to be a useful resource.
Did you know?
· 86% of England’s landmass is rural
· 19.3% (9.8 million people in 2009) of the population of England live in rural areas.
· House prices in rural areas are 7.6 times the lowest annual earnings compared to 6.7 times in urban areas.
· 19% employees in rural areas are self- employed compared with 12% in urban areas.
· In 2008, 1 in 3 rural households were off the national main gas network and reliant on higher cost heating fuels to keep warm.
All the Bells – a project to mark the start of the 2012 London Olympic & Paralympic Games.
The aim is to get as many bells throughout the UK to ring as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes at 8am on Friday 27th July. This is an idea from Martin Creed, Turner Prize winning artist and musician. Go to http://www.allthebells.com/

Farm Walk/Study Day for Rural Clergy
An opportunity to learn first hand from a practising farmer. Hosted by Godfrey Meynall, Lodge Farm, Meynall Langley from 10.30am on Thursday 3rd May. A mix of enterprises including suckler beef, sheep, conservation scheme and care farming project. Further details to follow.
