MMAs (Mission & Ministry Areas)

Mission and Ministry Areas are associations of parishes in informal yet structured relationships with one another to share vision and resources for mission and ministry in the communities they serve.

Leadership is offered by the Area Vicar, who is appointed by the Bishop to convene clergy and lay representatives (often in an MMA Council) to help shape and direct their common life and shared witness.

The intention is that MMAs will be light in terms of structure, but effective as a means of building trustful and creative missionary communities in developing relationships for the sake of the Kingdom and the mission of the Church.
