Parish Share Review (1)
In the spring of 2007, the Diocesan Synod gave its goodwill to the formation of a self-selected and entirely independent group, to review the current arrangements for assessing and collecting share in Derby Diocese. The report of that group is available here, together with 2 summary versions (PDF format):
Parish Share Review (2)
Following the consideration of the original Group’s recommendations by Diocesan Synod in November 2008, and consultation via Deanery Synods and MMAs in the first half of 2009, a summary of the feedback from that process was brought back to Diocesan Synod in November 2009, as a report. The Bishop’s Council then set up a new Review Group, with representatives from the Council and the Diocesan Board of Finance, to take matters forward. The Group made a presentation of its thinking at Diocesan Synod in February 2011 and took away the initial reactions of Synod members, for further consideration. A further Report was then produced and sent to Deanery Officers and to members of the Bishop’s Council and the Board of Finance. A final Report will be presented for debate and agreement at the Diocesan Synod on 4 February 2012.
