The Bishop of Repton, Humphrey Southern, is to lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2010 (29th November - 7th December).
The nine day trip will leave the Diocese on 29th November 2010 for an Advent journey of reflection, celebration & meeting.
A key aim of the pilgrimage will be to meet with local Palestinian Christians who will lead the group around the sacred sites.
Local Christians will dine with Aramaic speaking Christians in Jerusalem and will spend the day at special projects in Bethlehem.
"We will have services each day people will be able to renew their baptism vows in the River Jordan and their marriage vows at Cana of Galilee.
We will visit the place of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, meditate on the Sea of Galilee and follow the via dolorsa in Jerusalem, " said Bishop Humphrey today.
There will be open meetings in the Diocese in September for those wanting to know more.
Many other important pilgrimage places are included on the programme.
Brochures are now available on 01992 576065.
