The Dean of Derby speaks about Derby City Partnership Week.
The Dean of Derby, Jeff Cuttell, said today on Derby City Partnership Week:
"I grew up in Chaddesden and I can't believe how much the City has changed. Derby has been too modest about its successes but this week is an opportunity to celebrate all the good work that has been going on.
Here at the Cathedral prayer, sharing the Good News and offering thanksgiving is right at the heart of what we do. We pray for the City on a daily basis.
This week has also been a great opportunity for us to share some good news stories, to be thankful and to celebrate our common life together."

Derby City Partnership
The Dean of Derby, Dr Jeff Cuttell, said that he had been offering extra prayers for the city community during Derby City Partnership week.
Derby City Partnership brings you Inspiring Derby 2009 a week of events for everyone, to showcase what's best about our city.
In a statement, published today on the diocesan website, Dr Cuttell said that it was time for Derby to be a bit more up front about its successes: "I grew up in Chaddesden and I can't believe how much the City has changed. Derby has been too modest about its successes but this week is an opportunity to celebrate all the good work that has been going on."
He reassured business and community leaders that Derby Cathedral was a place focused on prayer for the well being of everyone involved in city life: "Here at the Cathedral prayer, sharing the Good News and offering thanksgiving is right at the heart of what we do."
He added: "We pray for the City on a daily basis. This week has also been a great opportunity for us to share some good news stories, to be thankful and to celebrate our common life together."
