Growing Church Locally

(16/09/2009)

The Bishop of Derby, Dr Alastair Redfern, is to lead two evenings entitled "Growing Church Locally" at Eyam (8th October) and Findern (22nd October).

Dr Redfern will provide those attending with an opportunity to test ideas, experiences and aspirations for mission against the models and methods highlighted by St Paul in both his work and writings.

Eyam Parish Church and Findern Methodist Church provide the venues for the two evenings - both of which begin at 7.30pm.

Dr Redfern said today: "St.Paul's key issue was: ‘How can the church flourish locally and appropriately and yet be a responsible part of the Body of Christ in a much richer sense?'  These two emphases in fact inform and inspire each other."

There will be a chance to ask questions and join in the debate during both evenings.

Bookings via sharron.howarth@derby.anglican.org, tel 01332 388673.
