A special service acknowledging the crucial work done by children and youth workers across the Diocese was held in Derby Cathedral on Sunday 13th September at 3pm. The well-attended service was as an opportunity for the wider church to give thanks and pray for all those who give their valuable time to help in the teaching and nurture of young people in the community. Those attending were blessed and commissioned in their work by Bishop Alastair, and thanked by Alistair Langton (Youth Adviser) and Helen Proudfoot (Children's Adviser).
