This is a full-time stipendiary post with an innovative dual role to lead an established ecumenical church, spearheading our deanery vision to reach new housing areas in Derby.
This is an exciting time for Derby City. We are expecting the population to grow by 20% in the next 10 years. Over 15,000 houses are planned across the city, with 2,500 new houses planned within the Sinfin Moor parish.
Would you enjoy working in the beauty of the High Peak in a ‘single church’ parish, with an Anglo-Catholic worship tradition?
New Mills is a historic town (pop 10,000) with a village atmosphere. It has a very strong & active sense of community, plus excellent rail and road links to Manchester and Sheffield. The dedicated and hard-working congregation is mixed, friendly and welcoming. There are numerous opportunities for mission and ministry.
If you relish working in the rural context, would welcome a fresh and fulfilling ministry in the beauty of the Derbyshire Peak District and are attracted by a new and interesting opportunity to be at the heart of the developing vision for ‘Hope Valley Mission Community’ serving three warm and friendly church communities, then we would love to hear from you.
