The parishes of Morton, Stonebroom and Shirland are situated within easy reach of the Peak District National Park. We are three welcoming and active churches, each having good relationships with our communities.

Our three churches and our parishes are diverse and yet complementary in their locations, demographics, catchment areas and styles of worship, and are keen to work even more closely together under your guidance, whilst retaining our individual parish identities and traditions.

Located to the western side of Chesterfield, we are adjacent to the beautiful Peak District National Park.

The Team includes five churches with a team rector, team vicar, curate and self-supporting associate minister. St Philip’s church is currently led by our curate under the Team Rector’s supervision. Initially the Team Vicar’s role at St Philip’s will be oversight and, in the future, will hopefully involve training curates. It is a permanent, full time post.

Do you want to come and work in the beautiful Peak District? We are a group of churches in the Hope Valley with a desire to work on Mission and outreach across the area. So would you like a challenge? Do you have experience of facilitating new approaches to ministry, of growing churches? Are you ready to help our Benefice move forward?
