Chief Operating Officer, Derby Cathedral

Do you have the skills and experience to lead the day-to-day running of Derby’s most iconic building?

If so, Derby Cathedral is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer. 

The successful candidate will lead both paid and voluntary teams and be responsible for all the operational elements of this Grade I historic building.

This Grade I Listed, unique and priceless building, is the heritage jewel in the crown for Derby and Derbyshire.

Derby Cathedral Chapter is seeking to appoint a self-motivated, inspirational Chief Operating Officer to work closely with the Dean in this senior lay position to shape and deliver the Cathedral’s strategy for future generations.

The role of a COO is a complex and multifaceted one with a broad range of duties and is pivotal in the smooth running of the Cathedral. 

This is an amazing opportunity for an individual who can lead and get the best out of their team and who thrives on a wide and varied range of responsibilities.
