Family Grants

The Family Fund 
Helps families with severely disabled children to have choices and the opportunity to enjoy ordinary life. Grants are given for things that make life easier and more enjoyable for the disabled child and their family, such as washing machines, driving lessons, hospital visiting costs, computers and holidays. The Fund is a registered charity. See: www.familyfund.org.uk/

Family projects  
Porticus UK award grants of between £10,000 and £25,000 for registered charities that strengthen family relationships or enrich education. Details at: http://uk.porticus.com/en/application-guidelines

The Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation 
Grant making programme re-opened for applications in October 2013. The Foundation supports projects in children’s hospitals and hospices throughout the UK to enrich and enhance the lives of patients.

Projects that could be considered by the Foundation include amongst others: 

•Arts, music, play and leisure programmes 

•Facilities to support families of children treated in hospitals or hospices 

•Care and facilities in hospices 

•Supporting children with physical and emotional difficulties 

•Medical equipment.

In the past, the average grant awarded was just over £9,000.
