The churches have welcoming congregations who enjoy a mixed ecology of traditional and contemporary worship. There is a shared vision to further develop the church’s ministry to the people of Sawley and further deepen relationships with neighbouring parishes. There is a passion within the church to be more to its local community than the venue used for weddings and funerals. Established working teams are eager to become involved in widening the mission of the church, a vision underpinned by a vibrant prayer life.
It will, therefore, be important that our next incumbent is a dynamic, collaborative leader who is able to recognise skills in others and empower them to grow the Kingdom.
We can offer a rectory, which is a large family home, with excellent communication links, good local schools, doctors’ surgeries, local shops and services. The neighbouring town has supermarkets, a large park and two secondary schools. We are ideally located to access the convenience of local amenities as well as the countryside surrounding the River Trent.
If God is calling you to work with us we would love to hear from you.
