Two ordained clergy serving four churches together.
The Bishop of Derby is looking to appoint two clergy to work in partnership across the communities of Allestree, Darley Abbey, and Quarndon. Four churches of broad Anglican traditions are deeply embedded in their local communities and looking to be still more missionally engaged.
Despite the different role titles, the two clergy will work together as peers drawing on each other’s strengths to respond to opportunities in mission and ministry. Both roles carry incumbents stipends.
These four parishes (three benefices) are home to an estimated 4,500 school-aged children and their families. Critical to these two roles are connecting with these families through the Church of England’s Growing Faith initiative to connect church, home and school.
The two clergy will join a wider ministry team of Licensed Readers, PTO clergy, administrative and families ministry staff, along with committed congregations who have come back from COVID strong and determined to see growth in their worshipping communities.
