Priest-in-Charge of the United Benefice of Beeley and Edensor

Fulltime permanent stipendiary role

A rare opportunity has arisen to appoint a fulltime Priest-in-Charge for the Chatsworth villages in the glorious Peak District National Park who will also support the scoping, and subsequent resourcing and delivery, of Diocesan strategic work around tourism, visitor engagement and heritage.

We are looking for an outstanding and innovative leader who, alongside local parochial responsibility, will explore ways of engaging further with the local communities, visitors to Chatsworth House and its wider estate and work to further the mission in other individual local contexts with significant visitor numbers.

You will find an eclectic and friendly mix of people and supportive PCCs.  We want someone to share our passion for traditional language services and the delights of the Book of Common Prayer but able to develop other patterns complementing existing worship. You will need to be pastorally gifted, inclusive, sensitive and a discreet listener with a heart for people and a desire to be a visible pastoral and missional presence within our communities.

We offer you a desirable 4 bedroomed home within Edensor Village, access to the benefits associated with the Chatsworth Estate, outstanding schools, and the beauty of the National Park.
