We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic mission-minded priest with a pastoral heart and passion for rural ministry. We hope for someone who can work collaboratively and pastorally across these village communities: sustaining existing church life creatively and missionally; developing lay ministries; supporting and developing existing work amongst children, young people, families and households; and innovating new community partnerships with a view to forming worshipping communities.
There is significant potential for building upon the seasonal and agricultural cycle, work amongst schools, launching initiatives such as Messy Church or forest church, creating pastoral care teams to support families and the elderly within the community and working ecumenically across boundaries. We are seeking a leader who can work collaboratively within a Team setting to inspire others to use their gifts and work in partnership to transform lives through growing church and building community.
You will find a willingness and energy to look outward, to work in partnership with others and an aspiration to grow the church.
We offer you a desirable 4 bedroomed home within a modern housing estate in a lively market town in beautiful rural Derbyshire on the edges of the Dales and the Peak District but within 30 minute drive of the City of Derby.
