We are looking for an enthusiastic priest with a pastoral heart, inclusive theology and passion for rural ministry. Someone who can work collaboratively across these five village communities to engage creatively and missionally sustaining existing church life, developing lay ministries while also innovating and forming new partnerships and worshipping communities.
This post also offers a unique and significant opportunity to explore ways that a greater church can enable visitors and tourists to become pilgrims. We need someone with imagination, skill and an interest in buildings to help us maximise the opportunities within the variety of church buildings including our cottage and halls so they can be good news for the community, church and local economy and support our desired impact and outreach within our communities.
We have good relationships with our local schools that can easily be built upon and a desire to develop the new worshipping communities we have formed that offer creative and innovative worship styles alongside our traditional pattern of services.
We offer a single PCC with a full complement of officers, a Friends group of people interested in the heritage and development of the building, a team of willing volunteers, strong ecumenical relationships, and a modern vicarage within easy walk of local shops, primary school, and the main parish church.
