The Parishes were constituted as a Team Ministry in 1994 and are currently resourced by a Team Rector and Team Vicar (this post) and a Curate.
We are seeking a prayerful Team Vicar who, working with the Team Rector:
- will strengthen and develop a culture of discipleship and mission across all congregations and contexts.
- will be content to be a team leader in some contexts and a team member in others
- can work to see existing mission initiatives amongst children, young people and families flourish, including local schools, being attentive to the Growing Faith initiative.
- will actively be involved to better resource mission and ministry through helping to simplify governance and administration, including consideration of pastoral re-organisation.
- will seek to develop, with others, new worshipping contexts, especially in areas of new housing.
- can build confidence and strength in each of the churches and be at ease with down-to-earth north midlands communities.
- will bring a calm good humour to share the joys and sorrows of ordinary people.
The Rectory is a large 4-bedroomed house in Shirebrook, close to Holy Trinity Church.
