The next local Environment Network is being rescheduled. It is open to anyone in a parish with an interest.
Contact us with any environmental queries and/or if you register as an Eco church or obtain an award. It would be great to tell your story.
Send in notice of your local events, good news stories, photos and events to share on the "What's Happening" page. The national church is actively seeking Environmental case studies from this area: focus renewables / transport / schools / community activity.
If your PCC are talking about making Environmental changes, there are a number of people who are willing to support you and who will preach on environmental issues, both licensed readers and clergy.

Anne is a Reader at All Saints, Wingerworth and is chair of an ecumenical group of volunteers that meet called The Derbyshire Churches Environment Network.
Practical activities from the group:
- supporting training for example Eco Church in the Learning in Faith (Community section) programme
- supporting Derby University public lecture programme from the Environment and Sustainability research department Sept 2019 - Jan 2020, Autumn 2021
- signposting to the latest virtual training resources 2020-2021 from key partners
- Supporting the development of the Land and Biodiversity conference Oct 2021
- offering an information at clergy conference Nov 2019 with the support of members from All Saints Wingerworth
- a mailing to all PCCs and incumbents July 2019 about Climate Emergency
- pilot development of a series of talks and discussions beginning October 2019
- leading the presentation at June 2019 Synod where there was an update report about progress on Eco Diocese and, as requested, offering reasons to make a policy against fracking
- a paper for the Parsonages Committee on Solar PV
- architect training partnered with DAC
- advice to individual parishes and Eco church leads

There are vacancies for reps from other CTBI Christian Denominations including Baptist and United Reform Church.
All applications for works to churches can be made through the online faculty system.
Registering with the online faculty system (OFS):
It is recommended that each parish nominates at least two people who will register their church onto the system and administer faculty applications on behalf of the PCC.
All requests to register will have to be approved by the DAC secretary to ensure only those who have a right to use the system can do so.
Nominees could be one of the clergy and a churchwarden, the church treasurer, PCC member or parish secretary/administrator.

Please click on "Register" at the top of the home page and complete your details and submit.
The DAC office will then recieve an email and one of us has to 'approve' your registration.
Please note that when you register there is one tab saying 'identity', into which you write contact details and another labelled 'profile'.
On the profile section please write/select the church for which you are representing - otherwise even if you are approved you will not be able to start an application.
Anyone experiencing difficulties with their online application should contact the DAC office.

Ministerial Development Review (MDR)
MDR is a shared process of reflection and discernment in which you and the reviewer assigned to you by the Bishop explore and articulate how your ministry is developing in your local context.
As disciples of Christ, we all seek to go on learning and growing in faith, and this is especially so for those of us who serve, lay and ordained, as leaders in the church. We do so in mutual relationship, as part of Christ’s body. The Ordinal speaks of a shared ministry, a working together within the Body of Christ. This implies a mutual accountability. Our wellbeing and further development in ministry invite regular reflection in changing times and contexts.
We pray that this will be a blessing both to you and to those you minister amongst. Your wellbeing as a person and as a priest is at the heart of this process. It is our hope that all clergy will find MDR both affirming and encouraging, as together we consider the part we play in God’s mission here in this Diocese of Derby. We hope that you will make the most of this opportunity so that your ministry can flourish and thrive.
