The Diocese of Derby is looking to appoint a Head of Communications, who will will play a central role in bringing to life our vision to be “The Kingdom of God, good news for all”.
You’ll shape how we listen to the parishes we support, celebrate good news stories, share the services and resources we offer, and create conversations with diverse audiences both within and beyond the Church.
This is a pivotal moment in the Diocese of Derby as we launch and pursue our strategy to 2030.
We have new initiatives launching, strategic funding becoming available, and a real sense of energy in the team.

Location: Hybrid/Derby Church House, Full Street, Derby DE1 3DR (min 2 days on-site pw)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience (FTE)
Working hours: Part or Full time 28 - 35 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu would be agreed.
Contract: Permanent
Full time holiday entitlement: 38 days. This includes statutory bank and public holidays and an additional 5 discretionary days. For part-time employees the total holiday entitlement will be calculated based on the number of hours worked
Pension: Generous non-contributory pension.
