The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd Elliot George, Priest-in-Charge of the benefice of Belper St Peter, Diocese of Derby, was designated to be Vicar of the same benefice by Pastoral Order under Section 11 of the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011. This appointment came into effect on 1 June 2026.

The Revd Nicholas Radford-Powell, Assistant Curate of the benefice of Wirksworth (Team Ministry), Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Vicar of St Alban the Martyr, Northampton, Diocese of Peterborough.

The Revd Timothy (Tim) Sumpter, Vicar of the benefice of Ockbrook with Borrowash, Diocese of Derby, has announced his retirement. Tim’s last day in post will be 30 April 2027, with his retirement taking effect from 1 May 2027.
