The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd Joanna (Jo) Honour, part-time Priest-in-Charge of the benefice of Crich and South Wingfield, Diocese of Derby, has been appointed part-time Vicar of the same benefice following the lifting of Suspension of Presentation. Jo will be instituted and inducted on Sunday, 24 January 2027 at 10 am at St Mary’s Crich by the Archdeacon of East Derbyshire acting as the Acting Bishop of Derby’s commissary.

The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd John (Howard) Robson, Priest-in-Charge of the benefice of Fairfield, Peak Forest and Dove Holes, Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Vicar of the same benefice following the lifting of Suspension of Presentation. Howard will be instituted and inducted on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at 4 pm at Charles, King and Martyr, Peak Forest by the Archdeacon of Derbyshire Peak and Dales acting as the Acting Bishop of Derby’s commissary, subject to all legal and safeguarding requirements being fulfilled.

The Revd Rachel Williams will be licensed as Priest-in-Charge of the benefice of Youlgreave, Middleton, Stanton-in-Peak and Birchover and Priest-in-Charge of the parish of Monyash (within the benefice of The White Peak Group), Diocese of Derby, on Tuesday, 3 November 2026 at 7 pm at All Saints Youlgreave, by the Archdeacon of Derbyshire Peak and Dales, acting as the commissary for the Acting Bishop of Derby, subject to all legal and safeguarding requirements being fulfilled.

The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd Canon Peter Walley, Vicar of Mickleover and Radbourne, Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Chaplain to the Bishop of Derby in the same diocese. Peter will start in post on Monday, 16 November 2026.

The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd Hilary Moore, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of the Benefices of Brampton St Mark, of Brampton St Thomas, of Chesterfield St Augustine, of Chesterfield St Mary and All Saints, and of Walton St John, Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of the benefice of Chesterfield St Augustine, in the same diocese. Hilary will be licensed on Sunday, 29 November 2026 at 6.30 pm at St Augustine’s Chesterfield by the Archdeacon of East Derbyshire acting as the Acting Bishop of Derby’s commissary.
