The hampers contained everything needed for an enjoyable Christmas lunch, along with a candle and an invitation to Christmas church services in Derby.

Volunteers started preparing from around 8am, setting out tables containing the various elements of the meal. Then, from 9 o'clock and with almost military precision, lines of volunteers went around the tables with bags and filling them with the ingredients for tailor-made Christmas dinners for each recipient.
Each hamper contained turkey, veg and all the trimmings - plus dessert, a Christmas card and an invitation to church
Once the bags were packed, yet another stream of volunteers distributed the hampers to people in Derby and surrounding areas who have been nominated by Social Services, GPs, housing associations, women’s refuges, charities and other organisations.
Among those packing the hampers were the former mayor Councillor Mike Carr and his wife Cilla.
They helped with Christmas Lunch on Jesus last year. Cllr Carr said: "I was such a great experience last year that I came back for more! I enjoyed myself so much and it is such a great thing that is being done - providing food for those who might not have food for Christmas.
"I am really impressed with the organisation of it, too, and I'll certainly aim to come back next year to do it again!"
Once packed, the hampers were loaded up for delivery by an army of volunteer drivers
Also helping to pack was the Rt Revd LibbyLane, the Bishop of Derby.
Bishop Libby also helped deliver a number of hampers to recipients in Alvaston.
The project costs in the region of £15,000 each year and is financed through donations from businesses, churches, local trusts and individual giving.
The 'Veggie Girls' helped load the hampers with potatoes, carrots, parsnips and sprouts
