Hilary Moore

Black Sheep and Crooked Spires

Hilary Moore, is to be ordained as a Self-Supporting Pioneer deacon at a service in Ashbourne on Sunday July 5th. She will serve her curacy at the Order of the Black Sheep in Chesterfield with a secondary placement at St Mark’s and SS Augustine’s, also of Chesterfield.

 

She currently lives in Derby with her two children, one who is nearly finishing school and one who is nearly starting, and will be moving to the Chesterfield area in 2016. She relaxes by walking, reading, cooking badly and watching zombie films. She has family and friends scattered throughout the world and is a keen traveller.

 Before beginning ministry training at St John’s College Nottingham she was the Children’s Co-ordinator at St Barnabas Church Derby where she came to faith as an adult and also was a foster carer for children with disabilities.

She says: “I am greatly looking forward and feel really blessed to be with the Order of the Black Sheep over the next four years, I am sure I will learn a lot’
