The Revd Carole Lloyd, who held the Bishop of Derby’s Permission to Officiate, has been appointed Interim Part - Time Priest - in - Charge of Ilkeston St Mary, Diocese of Derby, for one year. Mrs Lloyd was licensed on Sunday 14th May by the Archdeacon of Derby
The Revd Canon Alan Harper has stepped down as Chair of the Spirituality Group in the Diocese of Derby. The Revd Richard Reade will replace Canon Harper as Chair. He will remain as Rector of Matlock Bank and Tansley.
The Revd Janet Turville, Priest -in - Charge of the benefice of Walton- on -Trent with Croxall, Rosliston with Linton and Castle Gresley (with special responsibility for Walton - on - Trent with Croxall and Rosliston), Priest - in - Charge of the benefice of Immanuel Stapenhill, and Assistant Curate of the benefice of Seale and Lullington with Coton - in - the - Elms (with special responsibility for Coton - in - the - Elms) , Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Team Vicar of the Team Parish of Louth, Diocese of Lincoln. Mrs Turville hopes to take up her new appointment in July.
The Revd Dot Simpkin, Deaconess from 1982 and Deacon from 1987 - 1992 of Mugginton and Kedleston (Diocese of Derby), Ordained Priest in 1994 to the same parishes and who held the Bishop of Derby’s Permission to Officiate until 2013, died on 21st April 2017. A service of thanksgiving will be held on Friday 12th May at 2 pm at All Saints Mugginton
