New for 2020: Loneliness Matters

Sat 10 Oct 2pm - 3.30pm Now online via Zoom - BOOK NOW

Mother Teresa said, '‘Of all the diseases I have known, loneliness is the worst’.

During this afternoon session we will look at loneliness, the impact that it has and what the Bible says about it.

People actively involved in local church projects to help alleviate the effects of loneliness will talk about what they are doing, how they got started and the impact that their work is having.

Alison Thornhill from the National Trust will talk about the Humankind project at Calke Abbey.

The session will end with the opportunity to ask the speakers questions.

This session is open to all, but booking is essential

New for 2020: Show Me the Money: Keys to Successful Grant Applications

Matching your cause to their goals is at the very heart of getting grant making bodies to splash the cash, and so a successful grant application begins way before you start looking for the money. Here are some of the crucial questions to ask yourself along the way and this session will begin to unpack them.

• What’s your vision and what do you actually need?

• Who are your stakeholders and how are they involved?

• Does your project deliver the outcomes you want?

• Where’s the rest of the finance coming from?

• Can you sustain the project after the funding period?

These sessions are open to all, but booking is essential.
