The Ministerial Development Review Scheme

Ministerial Development Review (MDR)

A message from Bishop Libby.

MDR is an important part of my care for and responsibility for all licensed clergy in the Diocese. During lockdown we took the decision to suspend MDR to ease the burden upon clergy and to enable people to focus on those things that were essential within their family, church, and community. Since emerging from the pandemic, we have taken the opportunity to review our MDR process. I am grateful for your patience while a new process has been developed, and I am grateful to colleagues who have agreed to support delivery.

My prayer is that our new process is both constructive and caring. Its intent is to help you to thrive in your ministry and to work effectively together with lay and ordained colleagues with ‘generous faith, courageous hope, and life-giving love’ as we seek to ‘transform lives, growing church and building community’ for the kingdom of God.

The MDR scheme is co-ordinated by the Ordained Vocations Officer Ben Griffiths and administered by Julie Fowler at the Parish Support Office at Church House. Email: MDRadmin@derby.anglican.org

The documentation you will need to complete your MDR along with guides to help you through the process can be found below.
